Summary: We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Oceane! We stayed from 15-21 February and we have zero complaints. The location is great...just a few minutes walk from the shops and restaurants but set far enough back that you feel like you have the block to yourself it's so quiet. The staff were all superb...Komang cooked us breakfast on our first day (and would have cooked every morning if we'd paid extra but we're not really breakfast people) and came by every day to clean. She's a wealth of knowledge about the area and gave us some great tips, and was on call if we had any questions or problems during our stay. Dewa arranged for a motorbike rental for us and drove us on several day trips and souvenir shopping and was also amazing. Both of them made our trip even better for providing local information and introducing us to new foods! The villa itself was gorgeous...traditional open living room and kitchen while the bedrooms are closed off and air conditioned. Each bedroom had its own full bath. There's also a private pool with an outdoor shower. The beach isn't far but because of the motorbike we never walked there, only drove, so I have no idea how kind of add walk it would be. The driving is a little nuts...my husband always drove and he has his motorcycle license. I don't know that I would recommend renting one without experience driving a motorbike of some sort, and I definitely wouldn't recommend driving a car there. Most of the time you don't need one and when you do it's easier to hire a driver than deal with the headache of driving in Bali. This was our first trip to Bali and I hope we can go back someday and stay at Villa Oceane again!
